  5. Handling the Pencil: Hold the electrosurgical pencil while maintaining good contact with the surgical area and the patient. Choose the appropriate mode of operation, such as continuous or pulsed current, based on the specific procedure.

  6. Safe Usage: During the procedure, carefully observe tissue response and the effects of the electrosurgical pencil. Avoid prolonged or excessive use to prevent tissue damage. Periodically clean the electrode to remove blood, tissue remnants, or other contaminants.

  7. Ending the Procedure: After completing the surgical procedure, turn off the power of the electrosurgical pencil and carefully detach the electrode. Follow proper cleaning and sterilization procedures to ensure the safe storage of the electrosurgical pencil and electrodes.
